Techtron Completes ISO 9001:2015 Accreditation

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of the Stage one and Stage two ISO9001:2015 Audit by BSI of our Quality Management System for our facility in Deeside, North Wales.
General Manager Clare Rowe led the audit process, aided by quality management staff within Techtron and external auditors. We have now been recommended for accreditation in the coming weeks and look forward to receiving our certification.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international quality management certification, demonstrating a company’s ability to provide high quality services that adhere to strict compliance regulations.

Receiving an ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for our manufacturing facility will provide customers with confidence and trust in our manufacturing processes and will now allow us to work with a variety of companies who require the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation as standard.
Many companies look for an ISO 9001:2015 accreditation when working with a business, as it confirms a businesses’ strict code of conduct and efficiency. This means a company can be confident that they will receive a high level of service when working with us at Techtron. This certification along with our BRC accreditation and Sedex approval following our SMETA audit, means our customer can rely on us as part of their supply chain management.
The ISO 9001:2015 audit process involves two stages; a company must progress past both stages to receive a full accreditation.
To pass stage one and two, a company must have strict quality management documentation and key performance indicators, to ensure site processes remain uniform and demonstrate continual improvement by the Senior management team. Before we completed the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, we reviewed all of our internal processes to ensure they were suitable for ISO 9001:2015 accreditation.
The accreditation process is extremely strict, to make sure only companies with the highest quality management processes are able to achieve the accreditation.
Stage one of the accreditation process ensures an organisation is prepared for the stage two audit. Relevant quality management documentation is reviewed with the auditor, this includes our quality manual, procedures, forms, risk management strategies, work instructions and a full 12-month internal audit schedule., alongside information surrounding site processes, equipment, and any relevant regulatory requirements. The auditor looks to ensure that key performance indicators are understood within the facility by all senior staff, and they are used to drive the correct behaviour.
During stage two, the certification body- evaluates the company’s quality management system as a whole. This is performed by reviewing how procedures can be demonstrated. The auditor makes sure all ISO 9001:2015 relevant standards are in place and are being conformed to. If any non-conformances are identified, the organisation will be instructed to re-adjust processes to ensure full compliance. When the stage two audit is successfully completed, a company progresses to receive a full accreditation.
