We offer a state-of-the-art contract chemical blending facility comprising four five-tonne bespoke vessels that have been designed especially for us. Some of the vessels are mounted on load cells for increased accuracy and all are controlled from a fully-automated PLC control panel.
The liquid blending tanks have been constructed from food grade 316 stainless steel and are fitted with fully-automated cleaning in place (CIP) regimes for hygiene purposes.
Two of the vessels in situ have the unique capability of handling exothermic chemical reactions with inline plate heat exchangers and temperature control systems. These vessels are also fitted with direct acid and base feeds to minimise exposure of the liquid blending personnel.
The chemical blending tanks can be fed by a double filtered UV treated mains water feed system, or alternatively, from a full deionised water plant complete with reverse osmosis that is generating water to a pharmaceutical specification. Each blend vessel allows for automated transfer of products to one of our five storage tanks (three stainless steel and two polyethylene) located within the packing hall or alternatively for direct discharge to IBC.
If you require small blends of chemicals, scale up batches and solvent-based products, we offer various smaller overhead and stand-alone mixers starting from 200L.
All chemicals stored with the facility are mapped in accordance with health and safety guidance HSG71. The facility can offer heated storage for chemicals which are solid at room temperature and external flammable storage for chemicals with low flash points, including those which require static discharge during use, decant or dilution.
Our chemical blending personnel have a combined experience of over 50 years and the business offers an in-house training programme to ensure we continually invest in our people and transfer learnt and taught skills to the next generation.
